My name is Tristan Larsin. I’m the Founder and Executive Director of the IDISCY Foundation. In addition to my role at the foundation, I am a Software Engineer at Zillow specializing in Android development.
“At the age of 18 months, I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 3, which has presented various challenges throughout my life. I am committed to using my achievements to support and empower individuals facing similar challenges.
After graduating with a Computer Science degree, I dedicated a few years as a pivotal member of various early-stage Android teams. As I honed and diversified my skill set, I transitioned into larger teams where I actively contributed to creating scalable applications and libraries.
In my most recent endeavor, I've had the privilege of founding the IDISCY Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Our mission is to provide equitable resources for individuals living with Muscular Dystrophy and related diseases to assist and enable them to achieve their life goals. It's worth noting that this commitment is alongside my full-time position as a Software Engineer.
